This page of our website is where I will post all kinds of fun things!
Did she just say fun? Yes, I did! We need to be able to connect with each other and have some fun too. The most recent entry/activity will be on the top of the list. Did you miss one? Don't worry, scroll down and you will see previous days activities. Sometimes I will do more than one activity/fun post per day.
Virtual Field Day with Coach Robertson
We all miss field day with Coach Robertson, our friends, and teachers. It would have been so much fun for you to try and dunk me in the dunk tank. Alas, we will have to wait until next year. While you wait, Coach has created a video that allows you to create your very own field day at home. I know that my kids and I are going to do these activities. Watch the video below. Let me know if you did it. Did you create some of your own events? Have fun!
Balloon InvestigationDo you like blowing up balloons? Sometimes it can be a little hard right? Remember when we talked about physical and chemical changes in in our unit on matter? There are also things called chemical reactions. Check out a little science investigation that you can do that is an example of a chemical reaction. Materials needed: balloon, water bottle, vinegar, baking soda, and possibly a towel to clean up any messes. Watch the video to see how to set up your investigation. Have fun!

Making Cookies
Looking for something fun to do that you can also eat? Last week my kids and I made and decorated cookies. They looked pretty good and tasted even better. even though the best part of this activity is the eating you are actually using things that we have learned this year: energy, measurement, fractions, art skills, and more. Pretty cool right? We decorated with royal icing and on some of the cookies we let the icing harden and then used food decorating markers to design them. You know that I am a stick figure kind of person and photography is more my thing than drawing, but Connor and Caitlyn did really well, Kyle just likes eating the cookies. If you do make some I would love to see your creations. You can email me a picture or put the picture on TEAMS. I can't wait to hear about it. Down below are links to the recipes for the cookie dough and the icing. I have also posted a few photos of the cookies we designed.
